This competition is open to two groups of participants: Professionals and Enthusiasts. If photography is what you do for a living, enter the Professional group. If you simply love aerial photography, you can enter as an Enthusiast.
You’re free to decide which group to enter, but you may only enter one group. Prizes will differ between the two groups.
Photos submitted to the Enthusiast group must be at least 2MB in size. Submissions to the Professional group must be 5MB or larger. Submissions are recommended to be no less than 300dpi.
For each group, entrants are invited to submit photos to one or more of the three following categories:
All submissions to the Beauty and Unique Dronies categories must be captured with aerial platforms. Submissions to the Drones in Use category can be captured with regular cameras including smartphones, and by aerial platforms.
Grand prize – 2015 SkyPixel Photo of the Year
Combined prize for the Professional and Enthusiast groups, to be selected from the Beauty category
There will be a first, second and third prize in each category, all selected by a jury of experts.
Additional Popular Awards will be given out based on the number of likes received on SkyPixel. The top 5 most popular photographs at the end of the submission period (12/27 00:00 (GMT+8)) will automatically be awarded the HUAWEI Mate S, while the top 6-10 most popular photos will be awarded the HUAWEI TalkBand B2.

Ken Geiger is a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer and also National Geographic Magazine's Deputy Director of Photography.
Jahangir Razmi is an award-winning Iranian photographer and winner of the 1980 Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography. His photograph was taken on August 27, 1979 and published anonymously in Iran's oldest daily newspaper. The photograph was the only anonymous winner of a Pulitzer Prize in the 90-year history of the contest. The identity of Razmi as the photographer was not revealed until 2006.
Wang Jianjun is a famous Chinese contemporary landscape photographer and winner of the China Golden Photography Award. He is the author of multiple photography books and has hosted personal exhibitions across the world.
Manish Mamtani is an award-winning photographer whose work has been published in magazines including National Geographic, Vanity Fair, Better Photography Magazine and Digital Photo.
Sudhir Shivaram is a renowned wild-life photographer and one of the 5 most influential people within Asia’s photography industry (Asian Photography 2015 Awards).
Matt Waite is a professor at the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at University of Nebraska, and also runs the Drone Journalism Lab.
