The White Rann of Kutch, a vast expanse of glistening salt, is a landscape that defies description. But perhaps the most surreal sight of all is the Road Through Heaven – a 30km stretch of highway that bisects this otherworldly terrain. As I flew my drone above, I was struck by the stark contrast between the vibrant yellow of the road and the blinding white of the salt flats. The road seemed to disappear into the horizon, a solitary ribbon snaking through this ethereal landscape. It was as if I was looking at a map of heaven, a celestial pathway laid out for the gods. The silence was profound, broken only by the distant drone of my aircraft. There was a sense of solitude, of being utterly alone in this vast, alien world. This photograph is a testament to the unique beauty of the Kutch desert, a reminder of the incredible landscapes that our planet has to offer. It's a journey I'll never forget, a road trip through heaven.
