Bárðarbunga is Iceland’s most extensive volcanic system, stretching 190 km. Over the last 1100 years, it has seen 27 known eruptions - last one in 2014-2015. In August 2024 we went deep into Icelandic Highlands to photograph the area. Got crazy conditions there!
