"El Chaltén: A Winter's Dream – Unprecedented Inversions and Epic Peaks"
This 3-minute video is unlike anything you've ever seen before. It showcases rare, never-before-captured footage of El Chaltén, Patagonia — filmed during the harshest winter months, including the elusive cloud inversions that no one has ever captured from these angles. For the first time, these iconic peaks have been filmed from a drone, in the middle of winter, offering a completely unique perspective that has never been documented before.
Over the past two years, I braved Patagonia's extreme cold, spending days and nights at 2,300 meters, living in a tent and teaching myself winter mountaineering to capture this rare footage. The conditions were brutal — freezing temperatures, snowstorms, and long nights alone. Yet, I managed to fly my drone, capturing these stunning moments, with batteries kept warm inside my jacket to endure the early morning chill.
All of this footage was filmed outside the national park, with every take-off and landing happening beyond the park's boundaries. I have the proper permit to document the glaciers within the park if needed. This isn’t just a collection of breathtaking shots; it’s the result of extreme dedication and perseverance, offering a once-in-a-lifetime view of Patagonia's untouched beauty — raw, real, and like nothing you’ve seen before.
